VOLUNTEER - GREEN TEAMS

Green Teams park clean-up events provide a unique opportunity for your employees to get outside and give back together!

The Chicago Parks Foundation’s corporate volunteer program connects our team with yours for a personalized two-hour clean-up experience at a park in need.

CPF staff meet you on-site with all supplies in hand to lead your team through one of three available activities: trash pick up, mulching trees, adding wood chips to playlot(s). We respectfully request a ten person minimum and $1,500 donation to the Chicago Parks Foundation.

When you join us as a Green Team, you are supporting the 501c3 partner of the Chicago parks. Your involvement makes vital park projects and programs possible, including our citywide ‘Pitch In for the Parks’ effort of thousands of community volunteers!

GREEN TEAMS AVAILABLE ONLY JUNE - OCTOBER ANNUALLY

Our team begins scheduling in early spring for the 2025 Green Teams season. You may submit an inquiry now, but please stay tuned for confirmation.

There is plenty of availability! Please note, the CPF does not organize Green Teams events on Earth Day. We look forward to working with you the rest of the season.

As a Green Team, you will receive:

  • Chicago Parks Foundation staff member on-site to lead your team through a personalized park clean-up event

  • Choice of one of three available activities: trash pick up, mulching trees, adding wood chips to playlot(s)

  • All clean-up materials provided (gloves, trash bags, water, trash grabbers, etc.)

  • Dedicated feature story in our Seeing Green Blog, shared on LinkedIn and distributed to our list of 20k+

  • Group photos of your team

  • Your organization’s logo included here on the CPF Green Teams page

To participate as a Green Team, we respectfully request:

  • A $1,500 donation made to the Chicago Parks Foundation to secure your Green Teams event in our calendar

  • Min. 10 participants / Max. 50 participants from your organization

  • An event date between June 1st - October 31st, weekdays only between 9AM-5PM

  • 1-2 hours of your time for the event

  • Communication with CPF to ensure your team is properly registered and prepared in advance of the event
