Look Who’s Pitching In: KPMG!
In our LOOK WHO’S PITCHING IN story series, the Chicago Parks Foundation will introduce you to the volunteers who are making the 2021 season of Pitch In for the Parks + Green Teams citywide park clean-ups possible.
Today, we meet KPMG!
KPMG joined us for a Green Teams clean-up on October 27th at Douglass Park.
Who is KPMG?
KPMG is a public accounting firm that is a world-leading provider of a multitude of professional services. The Green Team that came out to Douglass Park was composed of first year tax associates that are committed to serving the community as well as our clients.
Why is volunteering for the parks important to your organization?
Just as our organization strives to best serve our large Chicago-based clients, we make every effort to serve the broader Chicago community through new and creative ways. Traditional KPMG outreach has annually included the promotion of children’s literacy and fundraising for medical research, and now we are glad to expand our scope to the beautification of the parks that we take for granted in this amazing city we call home.
How does your organization’s mission relate to the work you’re doing with CPF?
Our firm values are “Integrity, Excellence, Courage, Together, For Better.” While the first 3 attributes relate mostly to the quality of our people and client work, we are glad to have come Together for the Betterment of our community with CPF’s guidance!
Thank you for pitching in, KPMG!
YOU CAN PITCH IN, TOO!
Our Green Teams calendar is full for this season, but we invite you to start planning ahead with us for 2022. Thanks to the generous support of our Green Teams, the Chicago Parks Foundation was able to equip 3,500+ volunteers with free supplies for nearly 600 park clean-up events citywide.
You can also join us with a gift or become a Chicago Parks Foundation Member! Your support helps make vital park programming like Pitch In for the Parks possible. When you invest in the parks, you invest in the communities who love and depend on them!
