Meet the Green Team: Structures Construction
Structures Construction joined us for a Green Teams clean-up on September 15th at Humboldt Park.
Throughout the years, the Structures Construction team has done a lot of work for the Chicago Park District - and this is how they connected with us at the Chicago Parks Foundation to organize their clean-up day!
Structures Construction is a progressive construction firm offering pre-construction, construction management, design-build and general contracting services. With years of extensive design and construction experience, their staff of professional managers is committed to client value, superior service and quality construction.
Why is volunteering for the parks important to your organization?
Structures Construction wants to make sure that we are contributing to not only our city and the parks, but also the environment as a whole. Since we have done construction work at some of the parks, we've seen how people mistreat them.
How does your organization’s mission relate to the work you’re doing with CPF?
Our Mission is "Building Your Vision. Exceeding Expectations." We want to make sure that all of our work reflects that, including making sure that our parks are a clean and safe place for people and families to enjoy.
Share a highlight of your clean-up event experience.
We decided to make a little competition out of our clean-up experience and we were trying to see who could find the most unusual. We found plenty of strange items, but one of our team members found a porcelain doll.
Thank you for pitching in, Structures Construction!
YOU CAN PITCH IN, TOO!
Thanks to the generous support of our Green Teams, the Chicago Parks Foundation equips thousands of volunteers with free supplies for our Pitch In for the Parks citywide program.
Our Green Teams calendar is filling up for the 2022 season - we encourage you to plan ahead for 2023 or join our alternative Pitch In for the Parks effort today.
You can also join us with a gift or become a Chicago Parks Foundation Member! Your support helps make vital park programming like Pitch In for the Parks possible. When you invest in the parks, you invest in the communities who love and depend on them.
