Meet the Green Team: DWS
DWS joined us for a Green Teams clean-up on June 23rd at Humboldt Park.
This our third year getting out in the parks with DWS for a Green Teams event! DWS is one of the world’s leading asset managers with €860 billion of assets under management (as of September 30, 2023). Building on more than 60 years of experience, it has a reputation for excellence in Germany, Europe, the Americas and Asia. DWS is recognized by clients globally as a trusted source for integrated investment solutions, stability and innovation across a full spectrum of investment disciplines.
Why is volunteering for the parks important to your organization?
Our missions at DWS include sustainable action, and working with CPF is a great way for us to impact our local green spaces that everyone in our community benefits from.
How does your organization’s mission relate to the work you’re doing with CPF?
DWS’s corporate social responsibility strategy includes reducing social inequalities and fighting against climate change. Volunteering in our local parks allows us to help our environment, and make these parks a more enjoyable place to be for everyone.
Share a highlight of your clean-up event experience.
This was the first visit to Humboldt park for many of our volunteers, and it’s great to hear them remark about how Chicago has such a fantastic park that they didn’t even know about. We saw so much wildlife and beautiful gardening.
Thank you for pitching in once again, DWS!
YOU CAN PITCH IN, TOO!
Thanks to the generous support of our Green Teams, the Chicago Parks Foundation equips thousands of volunteers with free supplies for our Pitch In for the Parks citywide program.
Our 2023 Pitch In for the Parks season concludes at the end of October. We encourage you to join us next year and plan ahead for your 2024 Green Teams event now!
You can also join us with a gift or become a Chicago Parks Foundation Member! Your support helps make vital park programming like Pitch In for the Parks possible. When you invest in the parks, you invest in the communities who love and depend on them.
