ATI Physical Therapy: Partner Spotlight

ATI Physical Therapy helps us run.

The Chicago Parks Foundation is proud to partner with ATI Physical Therapy to provide the best care to our supporters.

Our Bank of America Chicago Marathon Charity Team, Team ChiParks, has been a cornerstone of our work since our early days. These dedicated runners wow us every year - they work hard, train hard, and generously fundraise on behalf of Chicago’s parks. This was our biggest year yet, with over 275 Team ChiParks runners! We want to be there for them every step of they way, and with ATI Physical Therapy, we are. Not only does ATI provide on-site post-race runner care at our Grant Park tent on marathon day, they are available to Team ChiParks year-round for support, guidance, and workshops.

CPF loves the experience of the Chicago Marathon so much that we wanted to expand and offer an accessible opportunity to everyday folks - so in 2023 we created our own signature Run for the Parks 5K: Run, Walk or Roll with great success. We were thrilled to elevate this year’s event by kicking off with a guided stretch led by ATI Physical Therapy, which got all 300 of our participants started on the right foot.

Parks are good medicine, and connecting our runners (and walkers and rollers!) with quality, reliable care is critical to us. We appreciate ATI Physical Therapy’s commitment to community wellbeing and collaborative partnership.

Mission Alignment

ATI Physical Therapy’s mission aligns with the Chicago Parks Foundation’s work through a shared commitment to community engagement, health, and wellness. Both organizations prioritize enhancing local communities—ATI by delivering high-quality care and promoting active lifestyles, and CPF by fostering stewardship and activating public spaces for physical activity. Their mutual dedication to collaboration, trust, and community support highlights their joint impact on improving the well-being and vitality of neighborhoods across Chicago.

Highlight of Our Work with the CPF

The highlights of our experiences working with the Chicago Parks Foundation included the opportunity to meet hundreds of runners, both local and from out of town. Physical therapists thrive on building relationships and fostering connections, and we were fortunate to hear countless inspiring stories and backgrounds.

This partnership reflects our joint efforts to uplift communities and foster a healthier, more active lifestyle for all.

Many of these runners have become loyal supporters of the foundation, deeply committed to fostering the well-being of local communities and preserving their cherished parks. It is an honor to collaborate with the ChiParks Foundation and to provide medical care, support, and assistance to their dedicated supporters.
